During my four years living in Florence, I was captivated by its immense beauty. I was a cyclist studying Italian wine, and I created a lifestyle around it. Since then, I have wanted to create a space to share the beauty of the fascinating places I was discovering and maybe inspire someone else to jump on the adventure of constantly being in "Giro."
We are Eli Gonzalez and Atha Samaras, dedicated wine enthusiasts. Our journey began in 2019 when Eli moved to Florence for her Master's in Brand Design Management in Food, Wine, and Tourism. This started her passion for wine, and after meeting Atha, both became fully immersed in the wine world.
Eli holds a second Master's in international Wine Marketing, is WSET Level 3 certified, and is accredited by the Wine Scholar Guild. Her expertise lies in italian wine.
Atha is a DIPWSET graduate, certified by the Wine Scholar Guild in Spanish and Sherry wines. He also has a keen interest in Californian wines.
Together, we combine technical expertise, diversity, and passion to make wine accessible and understandable to everyone. This way, we aim to build confidence and elevate wine knowledge in a friendly manner.
